Soy for Human Consumption Extruder
Soybeans are among the important crops all around the world. They are cultivated for various agricultural and industrial applications. Soybeans are highly nutritious and consist of 34-36% protein, 18-20% oil and essential amino acids. Although soybeans are an excellent source of amino acids, they are not suitable for human consumption in their raw form as they contain anti-nutritional factors. Among anti nutritional factors are trypsin and chymotrypsin inhibitors, urease, phytohemagglutinins, allergenic factors, lipases, and lipoxygenases, which have adverse effects on digestive efficiency.
Soybean meal form >50% of the total oil seed meal production. It can be made suitable for human consumption using the human consumption soybean extruder. Moreover, the extrusion technique is an effective method for processing soybeans and decreasing anti-nutritional factors while retaining maximum nutrition.
