- Cohesive function: The raw materials can closely combine together during extrusion process.
- Degassing: The blister in the feed raw material is eliminated during the expansion process.
- Dehydration: Generally, the water content of the feed material is reduced during the fish feed extruding process by about 4%-7%.
- Expansion effect: The operation condition and configuration of the single-helical fish feed extruder is capable of controlling the feed density causing it to float or sink.
- Gelatinization: High temperature and extrusion process lead to stickiness of starch in fish feed.
- Homogenization: By homogenizing the mixture, the extruder turns the appearance of the raw material into a more acceptable form.
- Sterilization: During feed expansion process, pasteurella bacterium in raw material is eliminated through extrusion technology.
